113 Countries Commit To Stop Rape In Conflict With Historic Declaration At UN

The UN member states made a new pledge to end rape and gender-based crime in war. 113 countries had signed on to "The Declaration of Commitment to End Sexual Violence in Conflict" at the end of a two and a half hour session of the UN conference in September 2013.The Foreign Secretary of the UK William Hague declared that this "a moment of great hope for the future".
