Istanbul Convention on Violence Against Women ratified by France

As the 12th state, France has ratified the Istanbul Convention on Violence Against Women on 14 May, 2014. The Convention will become applicable on 1 August, 2014. Other states to have ratified the convention are: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and Denmark. Germany has not ratified the convention so far.
