At the current rate of change, reaching gender equality targets in Europe is going to take quite a while: 30 years until 75% of women are employed, 40 years until housework is equally divided and upwards of 70 years until the pay gap is abolished.
To find ways of improving and accelerating this process, the European Commission has organized the Forum on The Future of Gender Equality in the European Union. The Forum, which runs from the 20th to the 21st of April, offers a space for civil society leaders, representatives from EU and international institutions and many more to strategize, identify problems and come up with new solutions for gender equality in the EU together.
More information and the Forum's program and workshops can be found here. A livestream of the event, available on the 20th and 21st of April, can be found here.
