Greece acknowledges same-sex Partnerships

In the last hours of the 22nd of December, the law was passed: Same-sex civil partnership in Greece are now officially recognized by the government. Although Greece was one of the last remaining EU members to not recognize homosexual partnerships, conservative and orthodox voices were not strong enough to dismiss the law. The rights to adoption for couples, however, is not yet granted to homosexual partnerships.
