
Kai* Brust studies for their Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Research on Antisemitism at Technical University Berlin and holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Technical University Darmstadt. Their main research focus is the history of attributed gender-nonconformity and Trans History, especially in German contemporary history and the 20th century. They are especially interested in the intersections of racism, ableism, homo- and transphobia, when it comes to attributed gender-nonconformity in historical sources.
Kai* was a tutor at the Institute of History at TU Darmstadt and worked for the review-journal Neue Politische Literatur. Other than that they are a qualified antidiscrimination- and trans-peer-counselor and were responsible for queer and feminist matters at the Student Alliance of Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt.
At the Gunda Werner Institute for Feminism and Gender Democracy, Kai* works as a part-time student in the online editorial department.
