The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) lays focus on the review of the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action which put itself out for the human rights protection for women and girls in the EU Member States. Recently, the main findings of the report on "Advancing gender equality in decision-making in media organizations" were published. The report examines how many women hold leadership positions in media organizations and how the media organizations promote internal gender equality.
