Sara García Gross, Chalchuapa, is a human rights activist and psychologist. She has a postgraduate degree in feminist gender studies from the UNAM Foundation Guatemala and a master's degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the National University of San Martín, Argentina. She is a feminist activist and coordinator of advocacy and alliances of “Agrupación Ciudadana por la Despenalización del Aborto“ (The Citizen Group for the decriminalization of abortion in El Salvador). In 2019, she was awarded the “Simone de Beauvoir Prize” for her efforts to decriminalize abortion.
