Gender Forum held in Kajiado County on 31st October 2014: The Gender Forum is a monthly public dialogue convened by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung since 2001, encouraging dialogue on pertinent national social issues with a gendered lens. It travels around around Kenya in response to County interests. This is a review.

Kevin Mwachiro, author of „Invisible – Stories from Kenya's Queer Community“ talks in a video-interview with Caroline Ausserer about the making of the book, the situation in Kenya and his vision for a queer future in his country.

Over 80% of the Kenyan population, especially living in rural areas, derives their livelihoods mainly from agricultural related activities. In Kenya there are serious food insecurity problems which are due to several different factors.

As Kenyan women push for a mechanism to actualize the two thirds provision, it is important to think not just about the quantity but also the quality of their leadership.
