Gender equality and social security: EU-Commission is asking for public opinions

Reading time: 1 minute

In 1978, the EU-directive 79/7/EWG was adopted to guarantee equal treatment of women and men in matters of social security. Since then, both gender equality laws and national social security systems have changed. To gather the experiences and opinions of EU-citizens and civil society organizations on the topic of gender equality in matters of social security, the EU-commission is holding a public consultation until the 14th of December 2015.

To voice your opinion, find the questionnaire and further information on the EU-commission's official website.
